One Year and 2 Days out....
Good Afternoon All!!
Well today I had my one year follow-up with Dr. Byrne...As of today I am down 128 pounds which is 2 pounds away from 80% of my excess weight!!!
This morning as in a few other mornings past I have slipped my hips into a size 10!!!
I have NEVER been able to do that , so that made me feel absolutely wonderful and THEN the most amazing thing happened!!! My aunt who is 10 years older than me has always been smaller than me! When I was 16 she went through a major clothes give-away and I remember feeling so bad because I could not fit any of her clothes at 16!!! Today I am officially wearing one size smaller than her!!!
- Can I tell you that life is literally AMAZING!!!!! I still can't completely see what others do when they look at me, but hey I didn't completely see 303 pounds either- so what the heck!!!!!

What did Dr. Byrne say? I know it was probably a fast appointment, they all are, but how did you know you lost 80% of your weight? I never knew what mine was??

I have officially become a clothes horse... my mother told me the other day that I am being Gluttonous(sp) I shop EVERY week.... The consignment stores have become by new best friend!!!
In terms of figuring out your excess weight.... On the BMI chart I should be between 120-140.... ( I use the 140 figure) I subtracted that number from my highest weight and that is the EXCESS weight. Multiply that by 70% to determine how much weight should be gone... for example:
303- my highest weight
140- BMI weight

163- excess weight
*.70
_____
114. 10 pounds is 70% of my excess weight.....
122 lbs.lost is 75% and so on.....
.8ounces more for me and I will be at 80% !!!
