I have been sitting here looking at profiles, and all the new pics everyone is posting. I am just amazed at what I am seeing. Jen, you have come such a long way in such a short time, that it makes me feel there is hope for me too. I can't get rid of the feeling that it won't work for me, I'm sure it's something everyone feels, but it suks having this in my head. I know your a whole lot younger than I am and that will make a difference, but it's so much more encouraging when I actually can see it happening to someone I know. I hope you continue to put your "skibbie" pics on your profile, it really tells the truth and let's those of us still playing the waiting game know that there is hope at the end of this WLS journey. Gosh girl, you look fabulous already, so just imagine what the next 3 months will be showing. Don't ever be embarassed to show your accomplishments ( I don't think that's a problem with you, LOL), if it can help just one person,( me), then it is well worth letting the world see you. I hope you are someones, because I do believe you are made for the job. Thanks for making me feel better! Mary

Mary! youre gonna make me cry!!! That was so sweet of you to post that! I was the SAME way when i was preop.. i searched and searched for profiles of people showing their skibbies.. to see what it REALLY looks like. and those people helped inspire me to continue with my journey and made me think that I could be like that one day! So to hear that I am doing that for someone else now makes me wanna cry!!! It seems like YESTERDAY i was the one in YOUR shoes.. so Mary, YOUR TIME IS COMING !!! AND YOU WILL BE THE INSPIRATION TO SOMEONE ELSE VERY SOON!!! And Im sooo happy I made you feel better.. it made it worth while showing the world my imperfections love ya!!! Your too cute! Please don't cry, just smile really big and know that you are an inspiration to more than just me. I admire you for being able to show the world the real you, I have trouble looking in the mirror when I'm naked, so maybe one day I will be able to post my "skibbie" pics too. Hey, I think you may have started a trend on OH,LOL! Maybe we should call it "BARE FOR A CAUSE", I think it does more for my head than any psycologist could do, LOL! On a more serious note, I just want to say that everyone in our support group is an inspiration in one way or another. All of you are so much fun to be with and have really helped ease my fears just by being here and listening and giving your input. So I have to say thank you to all of you.
