Poop and aunt flo!!!
Jennifer and Kathy,
After you left on Wednesday night, aunt flo decided to pay me a nasty visit!!! Thanks alot ladies for bringing her!!
Anyway she has been here with avengence since she started. It may only seem like a lot since I'm not used to using pads. (I only use tampons)! Also, poop aint coming easy. yes, I had to get a suppository yesterday but what came out looked like green mucus???!!! (I know, sorry)!! I drank some benefiber in my crystal light this morning but nothing moved yet. What can I expect from the poop machine for a while and will aunt flo ever go away. She is making this harder to deal with. Dr Bour said for me to keep taking my pill and use backup for a month. Thanks for shedding any light on this subject!!

In the beginning my BM's were disgusting!!!! Lets just say that it seemed like I could never wipe enough. That lasted only a day or two.
Then I would only go once or twice a WEEK! and it was very hard to go. I had to use stool softeners. It was so bad I injured myself. TMI, but you started it.
UGH...
Aunt Flo was yucky too. I kept taking my pill but spotted on and off the entire time. Thas how I knew I wasn't absorbing it properly. I had never had trouble before. And we did use back up, but that was the last thing on my mind for a good while. Hubby would rather go without than use back up. Thats what made me look for alternatives. Plus its heavier now, but I think that may be because of my new BC. I am thinking I may go back to the pill again since I am further out now.
The whole first 2 weeks I felt disgusting, I smelled bad, my breath was bad, etc. no matter what I did. My husband says it was all in my head. I also could smell the carpet and couches. I wanted to rip everything out and buy all new stuff! I was convinced my house reeked. But it has gotten better.
Someone said that benefiber when not taken with enough water can actually worsen constipation, so be careful. Just call Chris and see what he suggests. I don't know if its too early for Milk of Magnesia.
Want us to come to your house and take care of you? Then we could have that party you dreamt about minus the food.
Kathy

Girl let me say Smooth move tea is awesome thats what I used and still use on occasion you can get it at GNC and Ingles has started carring it too. As far as miss flo mine has become a bit heavier since surgery but was messed up cycle wise the first 2 months after I myseld use the nuva ring and after the first 2 months I was back on track. It will get better trust me.

I am sorry Rachel!!
Well, I had a hysterectomy, so I did not have that problem
YEAH there is a good bene to the hysterectomy!!!
The other problem will resolve itself, but remember, you were on liquids a lot before surgery, and now you are expecting normal bm's?? Won't happen.
Don't do benefiber at this point.....I just let my body do what it wanted to do in the beginning, you are too early to worry about this, so as you eat and DRINK, DRINK, DRINK, you will normalize, and remember to keep moving...walking.
Walking will move stuff along. Once I was far enough along, Milk of Magnesia was the best thing, and now I eat 3-5 Dried Prunes every night, and VOILA!! No more problems!! I don't dump on them either because its natural sugar. You will get regulated over time and when you need more help, you will know what to do ;)
Take care, and keep moving, you are doing great!!!!

Hi Rachel,
My cycle came every 2 weeks for 2 months initially
I'm not on any BC, I've been told it's because fat contains estrogen and when your breaking the cells down your hormone levels are rising .
As for the pooping,
that has been challenging to say the least!!!!
I take a stool softener 2-3 times weekly and have started the prune therapy which is helping... I have had to use a suppository (TMI)
it will get easier, just remember we are eating less so won't be producing much, and even a little bit of exercise seems to help move things on.
Take care Lesley
