GOOD NEWS

Well, we had a little stress yesterday. We went to my folks as usual on Sundays ... Nick & my daddy watch NASCAR & football while I chat with momma & usually cook a meal. As we're hauling in tons of Wal*Mart bags of groceries, momma is on the phone telling the nurse that she's having heart pain so 911 it is ... Ambulance ... Emergency room ... Room 335 & tests galore. We collapse last night ... Not much sleep, of course. But, good news so far ... Her tests are coming back normal. We're glad of that but sure would like to know what is causing this "new" situation. This started on daddy's birthday, 8/20, & have progressively gotten worse until she landed in the hospital last night. Gotta dash for now ... Need to pick Nick up & go visit momma. I stayed with daddy this morning at home while she was out of her room having medical testing. Soooo, we'll chat with y'all soon ... God bless ... Dawn & Nick

Thank you so much for your prayers, Ms Kimberly ... Yes ma'am, we live on the prayers of others! We had good news today ... They found out that even though we have her on electrolyte replacement fluids, they were low, especially her potassium which causes fluctuations in blood pressure. This couldn't be better because this is so easily taken care of. I called Ms Gayle at The Vitamin Shoppe & coincidentally her mother is having the same issues so she recommended 1/2 banana a day &/or potassium capsules. Then, should momma have another heart incident, there is liquid potassium we could give her that would be absorbed almost instantly into her system thus relieving the irregular blood pressure. So, thank God, of all the things this could have been ... This is "minor" & fixable. What a major relief! Thanks again & God bless you ... Dawn & Nick ps: I need to buy stock in the vitamin shoppe ... We now have not only ourselves but my folks on protein & vitamin products from that store. I think I spend more there than I do at the grocery store now.

Hey Baby!! I am so sorry you are having a tough/stressful time of it right now. I am praying for God to give you some good nurturing time and for you to be taken care of....when I prayed, I could feel how much you take care of others, and I am asking God to take care of you and Nick!! Thanks so much my Dear PRAYING Friend ... You hit it so right ... Nick & I truly need that "good nuturing" you are praying for. These last 2 years have been really tough & we both noticed that we just went "dead" emotionally from the time I called 911 throughout the ordeal. We handled all the needs but were walking around totally wasted like zombies. We had great news on momma ... Low electrolytes &, in particular, low potassium levels ... Look back a few posts at the post I left for Ms Kimberly H ... It's all explained there. If God is smiling, we should be able to bring her home tomorrow. Thanks sweetie ... God bless you ...
