Hey Everyone!! We just rolled in today from Colorado Springs, my hubby's 20th reunion from the Air Force Academy, and it was so much fun!! I was not the "fat chick" at the party, and got to dress up several times, and I will try to get the pics downloaded and post them. I did not eat prunes one day and it really made a difference in how I feel, so Lesley McClure is correct, stay on them!! DAWN, I love you so much for sharing that tip with me, the Dried Prunes are the BEST advice I have had yet!!!! THANKS!!!!! This weekend showed how much this surgery has changed my life!! I can sit on an airplane and buckle the seat belt with lots to spare... I can cross my legs on an airplane and not hit the seat in front of me... I can actually sit on the airplane seat and have space on each side of me... Was able to walk LOTS of stairs and steps and climb lots of hills while touring the Academy...mountains/hills etc... Was able to sit at the dinner table and cross my legs under me... Wasn't the fattest person/or skinniest, there!! I fit in!!! This surgery has saved my life in sooo many ways, not just vanity, but health wise too. I saw LOTS of 40 something year olds and I felt that I looked younger than they did, but a year ago I would not have. This weekend I was active, and able to keep up, and before surgery I would have stayed in the hotel room a lot!! Could not have done the miles of walking and standing that was required on the day we toured the academy, so this was a huge blessing!! Thank You Jesus!!! Deb

Ohhh WOWOWOW Ms Deb ... That is the absolute best that your life has changed so much for the better ... I feel the same way. Nick & I can't believe how good life can be now that I am healthier. He was patting & rubbing my leg/knee the other day when we were in the car ... He said that even something as silly as the fact that he can now feel my kneecap is a great benefit. So glad to hear that you had such a wonderfully "normal" time!!!!!!!!! Blessings just pour out of this surgery & our efforts! God bless you ... Dawn & Nick

Those are the biggest WOWS for an itty bitty trip. That is sooo fantastic. I can't wait to be able to fly again. Family is just too darn far away. Congratulations on your successes. You look so young and vibrant in your pics. Tink

The very best things about having the surgery, for me, have been the things that have made me normal and invisible - the things that people of "normal" weight take for granted. They bring me absolute joy.
