Any lurking 18+ mnth post ops around?
I'm looking for S.C post ops that are past the "honey moon" stage to talk shop with. Please feel free to email me if you don't want to respond here.
Nothing personal to you other ladies and gents, but I need some support from those who have "been there and done that" or are "going through it" now, in terms of maintaining, eatting disorders, those last 10 lbs, psychological issues, plastics etc...
At almost 2 years out, I don't seem to fit in anywhere...

Ms Barbara is out well over a year ... She'd be a good one to speak with; She has a great attitude & has been through just about every challenge you can think of ... I think Dar is a long-timer & forgive me but I forgot another lady's name but she is teeny-tiny & she has had plastics & is a successful long-timer here on the board. If I see her posting, I'll make note of her for you.
Do they have a "long-timers" forum here on the boards?
We are so sorry that you are feeling alone right now ... Each stage of this journey sure has it's own issues ... I'm 11 months out & what I'm facing now is so different than what I faced in the beginning. Also, I'm a really slow loser & there just aren't that many on the boards who are slow losers so I kinda know how you feel about not fitting in at times ... But, but, but ... We'd all still be more than willing to listen & support you even if we aren't where you're at, at this very moment.
God bless you ... Dawn & Nick
Yes there is a "grad" board that I frequent and I get alot of information and hear stories of people with similar issues. I am just looking for something a little closer to home, people I might can meet and talk to. The MUSC support group is great for getting the "topic" of the night information and seeing newbies and the progress of those that came after me, but rarely do the oldies come. And there is never time for open discussion and if there is it's about things I am past and if I bring up an issue no one else is there yet so they don't relate. I came to your LCBB one time, and you all are a nice group but again I didnt feel I was apart of the stages yall were in. Alot of it is in my head, but I felt like because I was at goal and I have had plastics (LBL and BA/BL) that I did not belong there.
I need to update my picture. This picture is over a year old and my web server expired so the pictures on my profile are dead..grrr.
Anyways, Thank you for responding.

I just had my 3 year anniversary. I know what you mean about not fitting in. I'm so far out post-op I don't really remember how it was right at first so it's hard to offer all the newbies advice. I'm still struggling to lose the last few pounds, adjust to the new self mentally and am right in the middle of all my plastics. Feel free to chat with me anytime.....
