**WALK FROM OBESITY**
Hi Ladies
Don't forget .......
The WALK FROM OBESITY is THIS SATURDAY, SEPT. 30th!

It will be in Spartanburg behind the hospital on Peal St. at Liberty Trail.
Time: 8:30-11:00 This time also includes the giving out of door prizes.
It's a 3 mile walk. You can register the morning of the walk.
I hope to see many of you there.
Have a blessed weekend,
Debra

As a manager, it was covered. However, the hourly employees do not have the same insurance coverage.....and I don't think that it is covered for them. All of our positions are full time....but if we did have part time positions, there would not be any insurance coverage available. And......you gotta have some mighty strong will power to work there!!!
I know that's not what you wanted to hear.....
Hugs,
Dianne

Hi Cyndi,
Just thought I'd pop in here to tell you what I learned at my 3rd orientation class at Whole Foods this week ......
Health insurance is offered to part-time employees after they work 400 hours. And it's United Healthcare, which is the company that paid for my surgery (through my husband's coverage at Fluor). Whether or not there is a written exclusion for WLS at Whole Foods, I don't know.
As a part-time employee, working about 22 hours per week, you can do the math and see it will take 5 to 6 months to make it to the magical 400-hour mark. But I thought I'd let you know, just in case it might offer a solution for you.
