I had sushi for the first time since surgery and it was GOOD. We went to Mimi's Steakhouse for lunch for a friend that is leaving the company.
I ordered alot less than I normally would have before surgery and I still wasn't able to eat very much! Makes me feel good since I was convinced my pouch was stretched all to heck.
But alas, now the rice is swelling and I feel like I ate a whole order of hibachi steak with rice and soup.
The funny part is that the chef kept serving me samples of everyone else's food in the little sauce bowls. If I had know he was going to do that I wouldn't have ordered anything! He kept saying "What's wrong Sushi Girl, why don't you like my cooking?" Then he tried to get me to catch a shrimp in my mouth! I had to explain to him over and over that I couldn't becasue I would get very very sick. He eventually gave up, but at a table of 20 people, it was very uncomfortable.
I was this close >< to yelling, "Leave me alone A$$HAT, I've had gastric bypass!!!"
But I was a good girl.
Proud of me?
Kathy
