YUCK...OPTIFAST SUCKS
Ok Help...I need suggestions to make this go down a little better. This morning I blended mine with ice and it went down better but this afternoon I tried drinking it with water and shaking it...it ain't been pretty.
Also for lunch I tried the soup. EWWWW!!! It was terrible!!! Thank god I only have to do this 2 weeks...I couldn't make it any longer. I think I am going to modify it just a tad. I will drink 2 shakes in the morning, eat lean meat and veggies at lunch and supper, and drink another shake in the afternoon. It is all that I can do!!! Do you think this might be ok?

Why don't you call Chris and see if you can get a different flavor. I liked the powders best. First chocolate then vanilla and then strawberry. I liked all the shake flavors. I did not like the soup!!! I know it is hard, but you just have to remember why you are doing this. It is going to shrink your liver, and increase your protein stores....which you will desparately need after surgery!!! I added a little bit of ice to mine when I made the shakes and that made it vey cold and it tastes better cold...I think.
I would try my best to do it like it is supposed to be done. Once I got used to it, I really enjoyed it. It made me feel so much better being on it. YOU CAN DO THIS RACHEL!!!!!! WE ARE ALL HERE TO SUPPORT YOU!!!!!!! JUST THINK HOW FABULOUS YOU ARE GOING TO LOOK IN A BIKINI!!!!!

I did that with a physician assisted weight loss program years back and we mixed ours with flavored extracts....and mixed the shakes. I did the mocha mint with vanilla to calm it down and chocolate with orange or banana extract. It was really good.
Use extracts, buy a lot of them...caramel, vanilla, orange, strawberry, banana, and others...be creative!!

They are right, they are better if they are very very cold. I also bought the boxed ones. Those are definitely better cold. In the powders, I liked the vanilla and strawberry. But in the boxed ones, I only liked the chocolate and vanilla. I couldn't stand ANY of them if I didn't put them in the freezer for a few minutes first.
The chicken soups were AWFUL. PLUS they contain alot of sodium and can make you retain water weight. I did keep them around for when I wanted something warm though.
You can do this! You are going to be so teeny tiny!
