I hope your day back at work is going okay. I know that drain is a real pain to have, much less being expected to actually function with it! I can't believe thay denied you Short term disability!! Some insurance companies really suck! Kathy

I'm really sorry about you not getting enough time resting. I've been planning this surgery for the last 2 years. Luckily the company I work for lets us roll over our sick time and vacation time. Unluckily, we don't have any short term disability benefits. Just long term with a 30 day waiting period. I've saved up the vacation and sick leave so that I can take 4 weeks off if I need to. I heal kind of slowly. If I can get away with only 2 weeks, I will and then arrange to work at home for a couple of weeks. They will go for that since I've been there 10 years, have (had??) a really good work ethic and work in computer software design and testing. All of our conference calls are through ATT toll free because we have folks in India, NY, GA, FLa, MI, NC, SC working on the account right now. I wish everyone could have those kind of benefits. This surgery is tough enough and changing our eating habits, to have to rush right back to work. Take it easy and let us know how you are doing back at work.
