TALKED WITH DAWN F. TODAY...

and visited with her for a couple of hrs. Yesterday she was battling that darn nausea again. All I could do was tell her she had to hang in there and not give up. It was such a helpless feeling not knowing how to comfort her, so I was my usually goofy self and that seemed to help a little...but when all was said and done all I could do was just be there and let her know I would continue to be there until she was 100% on the mend. When there's nothing more you can do there's always love I love you Dawn, and those aren't just words I'm throwing out there...I really, really do love ya!!! I couldn't get there tonight becasue my Hubby has had a really rough day. He takes his chemo treatments on Thursdays, so the next few days after treatments are pretty hard on him So tonight I called her. She sounds a little better than she did yesterday. Dr. Bour took her off the antbiotics. He said her lungs look "beautiful". He also seems to think that the antibiotics might have been contributing to some of her nausea. She still has her picc line so she can get the nourishment she needs, but was allowed to have some saltine crackers(she ate 2...1 this afternoon and 1 this evening) She enjoyed them like they were a gourmet meal. Who can blame her uh? After nothing but liquids they are a gourmet meal She still has her drain in from when she had her initial surgery. It's no longer held in by a suture, Dr Bour's going to let it come out on it's own. I know, yikes!! All in all she's hanging on and in, and that's good. No giving up Dawn we miss, and need you. There's a cruise to plan Missy
