Gross Question...

Okay.. so my stools since surgery have looked almost like leeches.. real dark color, thin and almost tarry ? but nothing of consistency, all mostly diahrea.. Is this not normal? Someone on a board put that about themselves and said it was blood and all and bad.. im like what? so um New Post Ops , What do your stools look like??? gross question I know.. but seriously lol.. are they like black? and loose? Jennifer~ Black, tarry stool ia a sign of bleeding high up in your digestive tract. If you are taking iron, it can make your stools look like that. Your digestive tract is going through a huge change right now. It will go from diarrhea to more normal as you go through the different diet phases. All you are taking in right now is liquid and that is what is going to come out!!! I know totally gross!!!! Remember...never trust a fart!!!!! Melissa

missed you last night

I missed you too!! It was a rough day for me yesterday. I was really down...I had to put my oldest son out of the house yesterday. So between that, and my poor DH, needless to say I was a wreck by meeting time. My eyes were so swollen from crying I could hardly see. I didn't even make it to Hillcrest to see Dawn. I'm better today, I hope anyway Tonya

yep that's what they look like. and yes it is the blood and gook from surgery. it'll pass.
