An "Issue" & Celebration!

Well.. The night i got home from the hospital and layed flat and slept, i woke up all night coughing so hard and deep, and would get up and almost puke and it felt like something coming up my esophogus, like metal.. but i was like "omg sleep deprivation go to bed and hush" .. well this happened 2 nights in a row.. Now the past 2 days I have felt something in my throat, metal. And I swear it is there! When i swallow, it contracts on it and i feel it pinching me, and it even touches my flap to my larynx(i think, that goes to your lungs) and it makes me cough violently until it moves off of it.. I asked the receptionist at Dr Bours office , and she called him, then she told me "he said there was no way possible that it could be anything from your stomach coming up to your throat, and nothing related to surgery. It was probably the trauma of your awful endoscopy and then surgery just making your throat hurt" i was like "Look.. its not that! This just started yesterday! I FEEEL It.. im not crazy. " then she said "Oh but Dr Bour Did say that if you do cough up a staple or something to call us immediately" I was like umm oKAYYY that doesnt make sense.. If theres no way possible for it to happen then why would he add that tidbit to it? Maybe because he is on "vacation"(in town) this week and doesnt want to be bothered? They told me to wait until my appt thurs. if possible. So if this "thing" is still lodged in my throat and choking me periodically tomorrow then i am calling my doctor and getting an xray at their office, and maybe they wont treat me like im crazy! I would hate for something to happen from negligence.. But anyways.. maybe i will wake up and it will be gone! I hope so.. I hate being the "freak" lol.. I asked the resp. therapist that i had last week at the hosp and he said he couldnt believe dr bour didnt order xrays or something, and that if it got worse for me to go to the ER because it was dangerous.. So im going to wait it out until tomorrow and if it doesnt improve i will go to the dr. But for GOOD NEWS!!!! Since this time last week i have lost 18 lbs since surgery!!!! YAAY I AM BELOW 300 LBS FOREVER!!!!!! YAYAYAAYAY which makes my total weight loss for the past couple of weeks 24 lbs!!! Counting down the days to my FULL LIQUID DIET!!! COME ON THURS GET HERE SOONER! Im dieing on this stuff you call protein supplements.. I cant eat but so much chicken boullion! lol.. Well Ill talk to yall later!!! Jen

Jennifer~ Well let me start by saying....... WOOOOOHOOOOO on the weight loss!!!!!! That is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!! As far as the thing stuck in your throat.......I would follow your instincts. If you know something isn't right then let the doc know. NO ONE knows your body better then you!!!!! I can't wait to meet you!!!!!! Melissa

Just let me say "DITTO" to what Melissa and Towana said. You have to take care of you, Amen?!! If there's no change, off to the Docs I'd go, quick and in a hurry Girlfriend how exciting is it to know you'll never see the 300's again?!! WoooooHooooo!!!
