POLL- The BEST Consignment Shops in SC

I am looking for the best consignment shops in SC, so please weigh in with your favorite. I am trying to update my wadrobe as I decrease through sizes. I am trying not to spend a ffortune, so consignment shopping is becoming my hobby of late. If you know of somewhere good to shop, please let the group know. Thanks, Carla

I dont know how far you're willing to drive, but theres a great one (actually there are several) in Charleston! It's the Community Thrift Store, run by the Kidney Foundation, and the one I always went to was on Dorchester in N Chas. I know there's another one in Mt Pleasant, but I never went there. Anyway, it was awesome, I always found tons of stuff and it was always super cheap. There arent many here in Columbia, I'm still trying to find one. Goodwill is nicer here than the one I tried in Charleston. Good luck, it's SO much fun shopping now! Rebecca

The key to shopping the Goodwill is to shop at the one closest to an upscale neighborhood. There you get good deals on nicer things. I shop for my kids at Once Upon a Child and the one West of the Ashley is MUCH nicer since wealthier people tend to live around that area. Good luck!
