..is REALLY not fun!
So we were at Carowinds all day yesterday and I had plenty of water and took a protien bar. Had a really good breakfast before we left and thought I was prepared for the day.
I did good with my lunch (part of hubbys hamburger - patty only) and in between meals (protien bars), but I thought I'd eat the dinner that was being provided to us by the company. Ugh - it was fried chicken, hot dogs, rolls, chili, potato salad, cookies, ice cream and bottomless soda.
I served myself some chili, a peice of chicken breast and a little bit of potato salad. The chili was for the hotdogs and was soo fatty that I couldn't take more than a taste, the potato salad obviouslty was made with some type of sugar so no more than a bite of that for me. So I peeled off all the coating from the chicken breast and started to eat that. After a few well chewed bites, YIKES!
the pain became so unbearable and it was obvious that it wasn't going to to stay down. I had to find a bathroom quick and off I went to get rid of it.
I was so embarrassed, the bathroom attendant probably thought I was crazy. I kept flushing the toilet so I could mask the sound of my retching. She probably thought I just came off of some rollercoaster. Anyway, I went back to the picnic shelter and sat miserably while everyone ate their icecream.
I'm not planning on doing that again soon.

Try the new stuff at home and don't pu**** when you are in public.
I knew it was a bad idea as soon as I saw the food layed out on the table, but I continued anyway.
I guess I learned my lesson!

It wasn't that bad. I felt better after and actually was able to eat when I got home.
It was just EMBARRASSING!
I hope you are feeling better and don't have to
ever again!!

Kathy,
It is never fun to get sick in public! I feel for you and hope that you never have to experience that again. I was sick for weeks (6-8) after my surgery. I puked all the time no matter what I ate or drank: work, public (at the fair), a friend's house, on the side of the road, you name it... The worse was when I got a stomach virus and had to go to the ER. I thought I had done something to my tummy since I had been sick so long. I was holding onto the check-in counter puking into a tub as the poor ER attendant took my info. That has been the one and only time I didn't have to wait to get back to see the doctor!
I promise that it does go away. I have since discovered that getting your gallbladder removed along with the bypass is difficult. People that had their gallbladder's removed told me that they were often sick. (some good knowledge after the fact!)
I am sorry you had that experience.
Good luck, Kelly
