Update on Dawn
just got back from visiting with dawn. she is still on the iv meds. she isn't doing well at all and much like me, felt the "rath of dr. bour". he is frustrated with her protein intake. he says she can probably go home tomorrow but if she doesn't get in more protein today she will have to be on iv nutrition at home. she is very depressed and i all i could do was hug her and tell her to hang in there. she says she wants the surgery reversed. she is glad that dr. bour thinks the leak is healed but doesn't feel any better. she needs our prayers more than anything now. i believe her body is healing but now she needs some emotional healing. she is convinced at this point that she will feel like this forever. she did crack me up though with one comment. i had 2 of my children with me (oh my daughter was NOT good, rare for her really). anyway, my son joseph was trying to consol and asked if either of us could handle a hotdog. the look on dawn's face. now, imagine being so nauseous and icky and having someone ask you about a dang hotdog. anyway, i told him we didn't discuss food. then she tells me that a nurse was in there that morning going into great detail about what she was feeding her cat. some people just don't get it.
update on my son too. for all of you *****sponded to my post on joseph thank you, thank you, thank you. he had a doctor's appointment today and he has lost almost 20lbs. the doctor had a long talk with him and he is having tests run just to make sure he didn't hurt himself. he really talked to her which was amazing because this child just doesn't complain or focus on himself at all. he is clear on nutrition and we are working on his self image. i posted pics of my children on my profile so you can see what he looks like. i personally think he is a beautiful child even if he is mine. i just don't have one of him after all the weight loss. anyway, we did find out today he has asthma (mild). so he left on 2 inhalers, flonase (allergies), and singulair.
pray for dawn everyone.

Awwe, I am lifting Dawn up in prayer!! She is really having a rough time...I pray God brings her some peace and comforts her spirit!
That is wonderful news about your son! I'm so glad he is learning how to be healthy...I think he will be just fine!
I love the pic of your daughter...she is beautiful! How many children do you have? I have 2...Ethan who is going to be 7 next month, and Erika who just turned 3. I don't know if I am more nervous about the surgery, or leaving my babies with my inlaws for 4 days!
I'm sure dropping them off will be much harder on me than on them! lol
