Beginning to think it won't happen on the 19th.

Still no word from the insurance. I've been calling them, and it's in the medical review department right now. Problem is, they are backlogged. If I don't get an answer by Mon or Tue, I think surgery will have to be postponed until they DO come back with an answer. And that's assuming it will be an APPROVAL! Feeling a little discouraged...I'd appreciate any encouragement you have to offer!! Thanks And sorry again, Melissa R! I SOO wanted to come to the upstate meeting, but totally forgot about getting my kids to VBS! I will make it to a meeting one day!! ~Elizabeth

*hugs* I know how you feel... the nurses at the insurance has had mine file for awhile I'm still waiting on a approval but seems like it's taking a life time..... I hope you get your answer soon hang in there Stephie

Hang in there Elizabeth. I believe that everything happens for a reason. So, if your approval doesn't come through for your surgery on the 19th....then maybe that's not the date for you to have it done. But, I'll keep praying that they get through the backlogged stack of papers and get you approved this week!!! Hugs, Dianne

Elizabeth~ Don't worry about the meeting!! I understanding about VBS. Ours is the end of the month. Hopefully you can make the next one. I will post it probably the end of the week!! I have often said the hardest part of this whole process is the waiting. Just like Dianne said...if it doesn't come through this week, then you were not meant to have it now. That doesn't mean we won't pray for approval this week!!!! We will continue to pray for approval and hopefully you will be posting very soon that you have your approval!!!! don't get discouraged. my approval took a full month but it was approved!! i had to wait another 4 weeks after that because our doc doesn't schedule surgery until the approval comes in. i was thinking it was never going to happen. i went to my orientation meeting in january and didn't have surgery until 5/15. keep the faith and i will pray for you too.

I agree, waiting for approval can drive the strongest of us a little Once we've made the decision for surgery we want things to move along quickly, and more times than not that's not the case. Elizabeth, this is easier said than done, but chin up Darlin'. Hang in there and know that you have our support and You are not alone, we've all had to play the waiting game We got through it and you will too and you'll come out stronger than ever on the other side.
