ANY docs in SC accepting NEW patients with SC MEDICAID????
Ok, my Medicaid will cover me ANYWHERE in SC & I think right into the EDGE of NC. I am trying to find one as close to me as possible, but I will travel if needed. I know a lot of Dr.'s say they accept it but they won't accept NEW patients. (
) I guess if I can get a list of Drs. who will take it I will start calling. If you have ideas
I am all ears!!!!

Hey Kristin,
I wanted to make sure my information was correct before responding to this. Dr. Ross in Spartanburg (Regional Surgical Weight Loss Service), does accept medicare and medicaid and new patients. You can call Dianne Smith, the program coordinator at 864-560-6935 for any other details that you may need. I know it isn't particularly close to you, but he did my surgery and is very good....and a vary caring doctor. Hope you can get things going soon!!
Hugs,
Dianne

Hi Kristin,
I currently live in Columbia, SC...which isn't too far from you. I am seeing Dr. Givens who is affiliated with Lexington Medical Center & the South Carolina Obesity Center. There are two other doctores in this office as well. You can get more info on them by checking out www.scobesity.com. From here you can get contact info and see if they are accepting new patients. I'm sure that they are, they hold a seminar once a month and from that get several new patients. Good luck! ~Jessica
