Well it had to happen.... 4 weeks of puree had went really well, decided to progress to soft food. Had some cooked soft mushrooms(marinaded in garlic) melted some fat free cheese over them... eat part of, it chewing really well and bam!!! It sat in my wee pouch like a rock!!! I didn't vomit but I spat half of it up...not pleasant. I guess i need to try softer stuff for a while longer...it's all part of learning new likes and dislikes I suppose. Incidentally I found a protein drink that I like...Nectar Lemon Tea, it's yummy

I'm so sorry. Its funny I just had MY first barfing episode Saturday, and I'm 9 months out. It is good to know that the pouch stays in control. Hope you feel better!!! Mary

You're right Lesley, it's a learning process as to what our wee pouches will stand. Hang in there, it does get better and easier. Tonya

Lesley, Sounds like it was probably too rich for you to start out with. Try some refried beans with bits of cheese melted on it. You can mix in warm water as needed, and when I progressed to soft foods I went to Taco Bell and had some ground beef added, like a slurry...it was very good. Take care, and you will do okay. Stick with the protein, forego the veggies for now. You will do great!! Deb
