I visited with Dawn yesterday. When anyone needs an example on how to deal with adversity with grace...look to Dawn. Even in her weakest state she's inspiring. She managed to get a liter of contrast medium down for her cat scan, even though she was extremely nauseas. Then after some time she and I walked the whole hospital floor She's Super Woman!!! She had her cat scan late yesterday and when visiting hrs had ended she still didn't have the results. When I called her today she told me Dr. Bour had called her around 10:30 pm to let her know that he had looked at the cat scan at home and there did appear to be a leak. But after visiting with her this morning and getting a clearer view of the cat scan on the hospital computers he feels the leak isn't in her pouch, but where the intestines are connected. Which he feels with time will heal on its own. There is a lot of infection and fluid, but it's draining like gangbusters. The antibiotics are doing thier job. She said while she was walking the halls today another patient was eating fried chicken...she said it smelled soooooooo good, she wanted to go snatch it from him So that's a good sign!!! Lately smelling any kind of food would make her feel like So I think things are finally turning around, she sounded so much better. Dr. Bour also said that he wants to give her nourishment intravenously...that should start sometime tomorrow. That will help her get some of her strength back. BTW the hospital is havibg troubles with the plumbing and Dawns toilette is affected. So needless to say "Super Woman" unplugs her IV, puts on her robe and slippers, gets on the elevator, and uses the restroom on the first floor. I know uh?! None of us should ever get caught complaining about anything Well I'm on my way to visit her. I'll give her a big hug and kiss from all of us Tonya

WOW!! I'm so glad she's doing better!! At least they found the source of the problem! Once it is fixed, nothing is going to stop her! She is such a wonderful and beautiful person! Thanks for the update Tonya. I was wondering, but I didn't want to bother her too much. Kathy

Tonya, Tell Dawn that I am keeping her in my prayers. Hopefully since they now found how where it is all coming from, they can get all the nasty stuff cleared up and back to her recovery. Please let me know if I can do anything!! Hugs, Dianne
