Attended Weight Loss Seminar with Dr. Bour....

I just wanted to let everyone know that I just got back from the WLS seminar with Dr. Bour. Let me just say...he is awesome. He stayed around to answer questions from the people, was very nice to everyone around, the staff was precious and the meeting was great. I signed up to start the enrollment process on Tuesday!!! WOW!! I can't believe I am getting this started. Thanks again to all of you for all your good advice!!

Welcome to the beginning of your new life Rachel. Dr Bour is fantastic. He has put together a wonderful practice with caring people. He is also a wonderful surgeon. I feel very lucky that I live in Greenville and had the opportunity to have him as my doctor. Remember to ask all the questions you need to, don't worry if you think they sound silly, most everyone else in the room wants to ask the same questions. I hope you also begin to make friends with the people you attend the meetings with. They will help keep you on track. This board is a wonderful resource, but it can't replace the face to face contact. I believe I did so well because I attended all the meetings, listened to Dr Bour and the nutritionists, and kept a good attitude. I don't know if you will be anything like me, but I want to pass on this bit of advice. I believed for almost the first 6 months after the surgery that I would be the one person that this did not work on. I kept waiting to fail. I followed what I was supposed to do, but I still was scared. When the weight really began melting away I started to believe. I think the reason I had such a difficult time was because I had failed with all the other weight loss programs throughout my life that I was programmed to believe I would fail. I didn't and you won't. Now my life has changed in so many ways. I do believe I can accomplish what I set out to do. A real eye opener for me. Good luck! I'm rooting for you! Terri 358/162
