I had my 3 mth check up today and everything is great. No major news from Dr B except what he thinks I will get down to, 160 lbs. Now do not get me wrong I can live with that, but would like to lose more. Do you think it is possible? He laughed when I told him my goal weight, which hurt my feelings. But hey he is the expert. My question is how did all those people who lost more that the 65%-75% do it? If his predictions are right, I should be at goal around my 6 mth followup. However, dont we keep losing for up to 2 years. Thanks for any advice. Hugs Julie

160 is nothing to snear at!! BUT, if you are determined, eat tons of protein, limit the fat, and excercise. i don't just mean cardio either. build muscle and it will burn fat. i am like you. i want to get down to at least 140 (pref 135). but i'll take 160. i plan on having surgery too. a friend of mine lost another 12lbs. of skin if you can believe that. just take it one day at a time. and prove the doctor wrong.

Thanks Sherry... I do want to get down that low. I just have had that number in my head for so long. I just think that is the ideal weight for me. But I could live with 160, do not get me wrong. Thanks for the advice. I do limit fat and I get my protein in. Exercise is not as easy as I work 2 jobs. Granted one of those jobs is walking dogs so I do get exercise, just not as much as I would like. That is amazing on how much weight was taken off your friend. That is fantastic! Good luck on your surgery Julie

i know. i hate excersize or at least i did. i am finding more and more enjoyable the past week. but i am determined to be healthy and active. i work a lot too so i know. what i have decided to do is put my gazelle in my office (when i move into it, right now i am working in a home office glued to my computer 10 hrs. a day). that way i know i will make myself take breaks. keep your chin up. i know i needed a nudge yesterday. i have the constant fear of failure. surgery was my last hope. but it is working.
