Hi everyone. My DH and I are planning to go to Charleston, SC for our anniversary and I was wondering if someone could tell me where we should get hotel reservations for. We are planning on going the 16-18. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! We are military, so maybe we could get a discount. We have stayed at the hotels by the hospital, but we would like to stay closer to the market area, so we could walk more... I am just not sure what's down there... Thanks, Carla

Try the Andrew Pickney Inn. I think it is the most reasonable of the down town hotels. It is not as nice as the others but it is more reasonable. I hope you have a great trip. Rachel

If you want to splurge, you can go to the Mills House, which is awesome. Also, the Meeting Street Inn is a B&B I think, and is nice. On the Mt Pleasant side of town The Hilton at Patriot's Point is awesome Have a great time!!! Great shopping too! Ya'll Come! Deb

i agree the mill's house is the ticket!! my husband and i love it. we actually braved hotwire.com and got a $350 room for $175. the thing is, you don't know what you are getting but you can pin point the hotel down to location (like downtown).

There are several places to stay around the Market. What is the one that has the big parking garage on the other side of it. It is on the right side looking down the market towards Saks. Thanks, Carla

Has anyone stayed at a B&B? Which one is the nicest for the price?

We stayed at the Mills house for our honeymoon and it was very nice. Expensive but if you book it online it is cheaper. Marcey
