Major Prayer Request please

Hey Gang, I just need some encouragement and some much needed prayers on my behalf. I am just in such terrible pain, and I just can't take this anymore. Its enough to cause a person to pick up a weapon and beat someone with it....maybe some doctors if they don't get with it. I went to the urologist yesterday and saw the Nurse Practitioner and he was awesome! I wish he was my ob/gyn, he was so good and understanding. Well, he thinks the stones that passed before caused a great deal of pain and damage to the ureters and urethra when they passed and combined with having 2 children and episiotomies both times and a childhood accident involving monkey bars between the legs, ouchie!! scar tissue has formed and is causing the swelling and pain. There is no cure for it if this is correct. We are praying that God will supernaturally put things back where they belong internally and the swelling would subside and the pain would leave. I have been on major pain meds since last Sunday, so now a week....which by the way cause major constipation. Lovely I am just so bummed. I feel like I could peee all the time, which I don't really have to, and also the pain associated with standing and sitting is awful. I can't work out, and I can' t do much cause I just feel like I am going to faint from the pain. DRINK YOUR WATER AND DRINK IT OFTEN. He said I was still in ketosis which an be bad because it will soon start to burn protein, and that can cause kidney damage, which we don't need. He also said/admitted that the diet we are all on causes this pain too in kidney problems. Well Wednesday I have to go for a urodynamics test which is an awful, and embarassing test where sensors and tubes and catheters are placed in areas where they should not be, and they measure your muscle strength of the pelvic floor, as well as damage to the bladder and muscles and shincters which control urine flow, and some people pass out during the test. Well, hubby is STILL gone with this new job, and that leaves me to drive myself and I am not looking forward to it at all. I am going to sneek and take a pain pill, and hopefully get my son or someone to drive me to MUSC. I hope no one else deals with this and has these problems. I am wonering now to call the on call doc and see if anything can be done now and Wed, and if there is someting he can give me to help me through this. It sucks, and I pray no one else deals with this!! Oh, Deb, if anyone can feel your pain, I can. I'm not sure if you recall that just five weeks before my WLS I had a hysterectomy and a bladder sling. Before that was done, I also had the urodynamics test, which IS humiliating and painful. You'll be glad to know that I did not pass out, but I wish that I had just to avoid the degradation of it all. (I found out as I walked into the room that a make doctor I had never met before was doing it, not my ob/gyn because she did not have the urology training as he did, so that added to the embarrassment). It really is not as painful though as you may have heard. I ended up on a Foley for three weeks following the bladder sling, and when it was removed, I had a wetting accident, that I never felt coming, in the aisle of Piggly Wiggly. Thankfully I had a pantiliner on to absorb most of it and a long shirt to cover what wasn't absorbed. I was put on anti-spasmodics (detrol) and then when I couldn't pee and ended up in the ER where they had to drain three liters (no exaggeration) from my bladder, they put me on uracholine to cause spasms and make me pee, which brought on the incontinence. Believe it or not, what seemed to straighten everything out was the WLS and having a Foley for a few days again, and being taken off all urology meds. I do still have pain from time to time in my urethra that can be crippling, but it does not last long. A few minutes maybe. If I can at least empathize with you, it may not make you feel better but at least you know you are not alone. Hang in there, honey, and hopefully prayers will be answered. Drink lots of cranberry juice (check the labels for the % of actual juice) and see if you can try the cranberry supplements, too. I also drank tea which is a natural diuretic, but I know we need to limit how much we have because it can interfere with calcium absorption so ask Dr. Byrne what your limit would be. Please know that I am here for you if you ever need to vent. I appreciate the head-up about the importance of drinking because I have fallen behind in that a lot lately. Deb< i ache as I read your post. I am so so sorry you are having to deal with all this and be in such pain. I pray your pain is lifted! God, please heal Deb, quickly! Hey Darlin', I can"t even begin to wrap my brain around all that you're going through. I'm so sorry Deb. If I lived near you I'd take you to your Docs appt. I mean that!! You've been through so much and I know you want this to be over. I've added you to my prayer list, and I pray that God will give you quick healing real soon. With HIM all things are possible. Amen. You guys are just THE BEST friends I could ever have hoped to meet!!! I love you all so much, and all the replies and private emails I have received are absolutely the best, and have really boosted my spirits tons!! Thanks so much Barb for offering to drive me to MUSC on Wed, it means the world to me, and I will take you up on the offer!! I am just wanting to get to the bottom of this, and I am getting to the point where I am about to just walk in and MAKE them admit me until we can get it all figured out! I am just sick of screaming for help and getting no where except for IV's in my arm each visit, a bag of fluid and vials of drugs...which actually are good, and do help with the pain, but after I am home, don't do much afterwards. I am just pulling my hair out and going crazy with the spasms and pains, so I am at this point ready to do whatever they ask me to do...up to the point of walking naked in front the waiting room lobby!! I just love you guys so much, and I appreciate you all so much, more than I can put into words!! Big Hugs and Kisses, and I am so ready for my honey to be home this Thursday night and for this all to be over and done with! Just pray that his job will work out for him to keep comuting like a normal airline pilot so we don't have to move to CA.
