I'm Feeling Much better

Hi Everyone And ((((Dianne)))) THANK YOU my friend for updating everyone for me. Today, Friday, May 19th I went to the hospital to have the scope done for the stricture. The worst part was them trying to find a vain for the IV, My veins are hard to find and they role, then with me being dehydrated made it even worse I was stuck 3 times then they finally got it in my left hand. The scope procedure, I never knew it happened, They started the IV then I said Dr. Ross, Say a prayer for me, He held my hand started praying and the next thing I remember a nurse was waking me up! It was wonderful, no pain, no sore throat, The only way I know it happened was I tried eating something solid IT STAYED DOWN!!! YES! No NOW the only down fall of the dehydrating part They gave me 2 bags of what I found out was saline water. On my ONE MONTH ANNIVERSARY MAY 17th I had lost 40 POUNDS!!!! Then they gave me the 2 bags, Dianne said now don't be surprised if you gain weight, I GAINED 6 POUNDS!!!!! GEESSHH! 3 pounds from each bag! Then they gave me one more bag today which I gained 3 more pounds! Arrgghhh!! BUT HEY, I'm all better, I feel great, And I can keep food down now. Thank you Lord and Thank you Dr. Ross. And THANKS to all of you that have prayed for me. I think everything is going to go great now. I told Dr. Ross I was so wanting to be one of those that everything went great, He said everything is going great, that I was doing good. He says 1 in 10 people get the stricture. Hi Debra, I just had rny on 5-17-06. You're very brave regarding your complications. I don't feel very brave right now about the simplist thing of getting in protein. I can't imagine what it's like to not be able to swallow. Hang in there and know that we're out here thinking of you. Melony

So glad you're doing better...prayer is a wonderful thing!!! Way to go Dr. Ross I pray that the worse is over, and that it's smooth sailing from here on out. Continued healing, and remember that's fluid your body desperately needed...31lbs after all you've been through is an awesome achievement!!! I KNOW ABOUT THAT FLUID WEIGHT INCREASE STUFF ... I GAINED 11 #s IN 2 DAYS IN THE HOSPITAL BECAUSE I HAD A "LAZY BLADDER". IT TOOK ME 7 DAYS TO LOSE IT ALL! BUT, IT WAS JUST A TEMPORARY SET BACK.
