I love my bypass! No complications. within a week or two felt normal for the first time in 11 years. Amazing feeling. I had it in one procedure. Sleeve was absolutely off the table for me because of GERD. doc said odds were high I'd end up revising to RNY anyway...so that was a no brainer.
Deficiencies are not a concern for me I get regular blood tests, am religious with my vitamins and actually had to cut back on some because i was too high.
Could not recommend it more.

Thanks it's just that my BmI is at 31.6 and my weight is at 194 pounds and then band is less invasive which is the reason I chose it first time around.. of course then I didn't know all the negatives that come with it and that it isn't really a life long tool!
even at that BMI, the band has failed you, it has caused possibly permanent damage to you and it IS meant to be temporary.
I, personally, would never get another one, if I was you.
Mad far as non invasive, what is non invasive about a plastic device burrowing into a part of your body , unlike what it is supposed to do and causing damage?
all major abdominal surgery, which all the WLS 's are are invasive.

Today was my surgery from RNY in 2005 to gastric banding I woke up to find out that there was too much scar tissue around my stoma they removed the scar tissue and he also said there was a leak and repaired that also, told me to be back in the office in one week for follow up to discuss next option.
Thank you! I'm going to get this done! Would I be crazy to consider another band then?
I certainly think it would be beyond crazy to get another band.

Do NOT get another lapband! That could very likely lead to worse (and possibly irreversible) health problems.
BBSams: Good luck with your revisional surgery & hernia repair today (5/31)!
