Hi, I've lost 40 so far since October 11th. It is alot slower then the last time but it is coming off. They say you don't lose as much but I think that is good. Good luck with your surgery.

I had my revision 5 weeks ago and have lost 30 lbs . I hope to lose another 100, but I think it will take longer this time. I have to be very conscious of what I eat, it seems to be much easier this time to eat. I also have to really get motivated to exercise....this is a big problem for me! LAURA R

I have notice too that it is much easier to eat this time. The first time I was afraid to eat anything. I tried new foods very slowly. This time no problems. I don't know how much I will lose. I could probably stand to lose another 30 but we will see. My total is now 165 from my original surgery of 1/22/02.

Hi Tamara, I'm scheduled to have my revision on Jan. 27th. I had a VBG back in 1987. I'm going to try and keep my profile up to date, so you can keep tabs on my progress and we can compare notes. But I want to wish you all the luck in the world. I get the feeling that the second time around is an entirely different experience. Based on what I've learned on this site, there is good reason to be optimistic! Sean

Hi Tamara, I too have lose 65-66 pounds in 4 1/2 mos. I had the VBG back in Jan. 1995 and started regaining my weight due to pregnanices in 2001. I had the Lap Rny and I also can say it's easier for me to eat meats this time around. I'm not very good with exercising this time around because of being a single mother and working to many hours a day. But I walk alot at work and park about 1/4 of a mile from the building I work in. I have dumped only 2-3 times since my second surgery 08-30-05. The first time was from light fat free yogurt which had 11 grams of sugar and 0 grams of fat. It's good to know by reading your post that other people who have had the revision surgery or like me ( can eat more this time around) and not dump. I'm not trying to say that it's a good thing to be able to eat more just glad to know I'm not alone. Tamara I know God will be with you on this new journey just like he was there for me and so many more people like us. OK the first time VBG I loss 121 started at 285/164 in 1 yr and 7 mos. This time 284 and hope to get down to 160-ish. Take Care! Jc C.
