question about revision

For those of you that have had a revision...was it from a rny to a ds? If so...did your insurance cover the revision? If not...why did they not pay? I am in the process of seeing a surgeon regarding the above. I had my rny done in 2001 and I have put atleast 1/2 of my weight back on. My diabetes has gotten worse and I am still on medication for both diabetes and high blood pressure. I am waiting to hear from Dr. Marema's office in Ft. Lauderdale to see what my insurance benefits are. Does anyone know anything about this doctor? I am new to Florida coming from Reno, NV where I had my surgery. Thank you for answering my questions.

Have they figured out why your original surgery isn't working? Is there a mechanical issue? Nancy
