Revision from RNY to DS Approved

I've gained about 30 lbs in the last year. My original RNY was done in August 2001. I now have approval from the BC/BS federal employee plan for a revision from RNY to DS. Dr. Peter Crookes at USC will do the surgery this fall. I had surgical approval three days after the request was received by BC/BS. Will have the surgery this fall.

Hi Dale, If you haven't already, would you please share the message of your approval w/BCBS Fed Plan with others in the DS Forum? There are so many people that have been denied the DS from this particular insurance and I am sure they would like to know under what cir****tance yours was approved. I have BCBS Carefirst - not Fed Plan and was approved immediately for the DS. But my friend has the same insurance as you and was denied. Thanking you in advance. Lyric
