Received approval for VSG to RNY. Surgery Oct 9. So relieved! looking forward to relief from GERD and getting wt loss back on track.

Congrats on your approval for your revision surgery!!! Hopefully, I will get approved as well. I am still on my nutrition program will be done with that on October 16, 2017. Then the doctor's office will turn in the paper work to BCBS Federal. I too suffer from a Hiatal Hernia and horrible acid reflux.

i was so worried abut getting approval as well, so i can relate. Keep the faith! Things work out for the best, always, somehow.

I have the same insurance and they keep denying my revision !!

Saying that I need to be comorbid obese for 2+ years prior to the revision!!!

My band slipped they've let all of the fluid out , I have severe acid reflex and Gerd,

Throwing up vomiting most days !!!

and they are still denying it!!!

Congrats! On your approval. I would be very interested to follow you preceding your surgery. I have been experiencing the same thing since I was sleeved in 2014. I was approved in January for the revision to RNY but had to cancel due to a military move. I went back through the process again only to cancel yet again due to the new doctor I was referred to. I have asked my insurance company for permission to go back to my previous surgeon and they agreed. So I hope to have the procedure done soon.
