Reflux issues from VSG and now a Revision???
Compared to the VSG surgery, this was much more painful. This pain is very noticeable when I stand from a sitting position.
Thank you. The pain is not as intense as the first 2 days and is getting better.
Oh this is making me feel less scared. I have had old school c section, hernia repair from that, VSG, Hysterectomy, and now this impending bypass... I am not crazy about the recovery but hoping it does go easier being my second time through bariatric. Just took a afternoon power nap and now having issues with reflux during day :(
Like Stacy my post op pain was much easier with RNY than my first surgery (band). I was up and walking quickly. being my second time around I knew to move move move to get rid of the gas. also drinking warm not cold water. helps to already have experience.

Hi. I had the sleeve May 2013. I weighed 226, got down to 186, got pregnant and couldn't gain weight. After I had the baby I got down to 160. Started having really bad reflux. Then all of a sudden I started gaining. Found out my stomach stretched and I have a hiatal hernia. My doctors office submitted all of my paperwork Friday, March 31st and my insurance approved it Wednesday April 5th! I am afraid to have the bypass done. My doc recommended the sleeve and the linx. I am also afraid of that. My surgery is scheduled for May 9th. I currently weigh 200 and I am 5'3.
why are you afraid of bypass? there are thousands of people on here who have been successful with it. My understanding is that it is the #1 revision choice for sleevers with reflux. I revised from a band and it cured my reflux.
