If your primary reason for revision is GERD, then you go with the RNY.  The DS keeps the sleeved stomach, which is creating the high pressure and causing GERD, so a DS won't take care of that problem.  RNY is your best bet.

Do you have a hiatal hernia?  Sometimes the GERD can be caused by this and not the sleeve.  I have lots of GERD from mine, but I also have a small hernia.

It really depends.  GERD is no joke.  See what the EGD says.  Mine is Tuesday coming up.  If the cause of my GERD is the celiac + hiatal hernia, I will be getting the DS, myself.  If not, we will talk about the RNY.

I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!

I am having sleeve to RNY Bypass this Friday, 10/28. The acid reflux had gotten bad and also I had regained all my weight. My VSG was in 2012.

So far all is well! Surgery was Friday with no issues. I stayed one night in the hospital. I am home now and still just sipping water and crystal light. I am VERY hopeful!! :-)

I have a very similar story only I am about 14 months post op an i have only lost 68 pounds and have severe reflux i suffer with spasms and exsessive hunger even when I know im not hungry but I eat anyway because it makes my stomach feel better when its full idk why but I wish i could just get the restrictiln i use to feel before the severe reflux.
