Is there weight loss with a VSG to RNY Revision?
wow our story is so similar, I was sleeved in 2013 and having revision 08/29/16. I did have GERD but no enough weightless. Starting to think is the sleeve only good for 3 yrs
It is crazy isn't it? I lost 112 lbs with the sleeve but gained some back
due to what I could eat and keep down :( I was throwing up so much
its not fun. I am super scared of RNY that is why I went with the
sleeve in the first place. But I wish you luck keep me posted.
Have you had your revision yet and if so how are you doing? I am going through the approval process to be revised from VSG to RNY but I am scared out of my mind. I had some success with the sleeve but the GERD is now out of control. Is your GERD better and have there been any additional weight loss?

VSG 2013, RNY conversion 2019 due to GERD. Trendweight here!
I did and going great. Down to normal bmi no gerd issues. And I am so glad I did it.
Thanks for replying! I'm so happy to hear you're GERD is gone and that you had success with weight loss. I see my doc next week about the GERD and I have gained 45-50 pounds since my initial loss with the sleeve. I don't even know if he'll recommend the rny but with what I'm reading, I think it's likely he will. The idea that I could lose weight and maybe even more than what I initially lost is so tempting. I was 220 when I was sleeved and got to 165, I'd like to hit the 130 mark myself. Thank again and good luck!
