I want to know if anyone went from band to band again only to want a third surgery. Also does insurance usually cover it? I was covered for the second band with a 1000.00 copay. Not losing weight. Always hungry. And gained 50 of the original pounds i have lost. Any advice is appreciated and which surgery would work for me thanks maraki

That depends on your insurance policy.  Most ins co's are changing to a once in a lifetime WLS.  You need to check your policy and find out.

You aren't going to get a 3rd band, are you?  I would quit playing games and just go for it and get DS.

Wow how did you self pay for three surgeries? Do you pay monthly installments? Very curious? How is the third surgery going

Second bands are rarely successful and almost always require a third surgery. Be careful to get a surgery that will work because more and more ins. cos are going to one surgery per lifetime with any ins. co.

Most I have seen report the second band doesn't work even as well as the first.  You have to check with your insurance to know what they will pay for.

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.
