Survived Revision
Well everything went pretty fast for my revision. I had surgery on Thursday, July 25th. It's now Saturday and I got home last night. I have 4 new incisions with staples. My tummy is like a balloon. Very swollen, not much pain. I have taken the liquid lortab stuff twice. I could tell this morning when I woke I had nothing left in my system. I took a shower and took off all the bandages. I was up 6-7 pounds from IV's. Still constipated though, sucks. Guess I'm going to find me a suppository and rid myself of this Ugh... Thankfully no "G" tube or drain this time. They cut off the blind limb and the enlarged part of my intestines. I pretty much refused the "ribbon" around the stoma, I didn't feel I wanted something that wasn't permanent. He did do the overstitch at the bottom of my pouch. So clear liquids for three days and on Monday I can start back on my protein shakes! Full liquid diet for about 3 weeks then soft foods. At least its not 9 weeks of transition like the first RNY. I guess that's it for now. Let the fun begin. Hopefully I haven't totally screwed up my plastic surgery by gaining this weight. I guess time will tell.
