I started my liquid diet on June 12 thru 19. OK lost 18 PDS. I had a revsion on Last Thursday June 20th no complication n total weight loss is 39 pounds as of today. So the post i read about maximum weight loss was 50 pounds is total false. So far so good. I'll keep you updated....I notice it mat be slower.. Because the first time I lost 23 PDS the first week..Anyone else want had the same procedure?

Everyone body is different I had a friend just like you who lost 50lbs in 2 months myself I have lost 30 lbs in six weeks my surgey was on May 10th which I'm so very grateful for that I have to up my protein which I can not hardly stomach it. Can you tell me more about the process and is the surgery similar to what it was the first time?  I am early in this and just getting over being mad at myself for my lack of success

Revision on 07/03/13

Congrats!  I had a RNY in 2005 as well and just had the RNY revision this past Wednesday, so I'm only 3 days post op  I'm still on  a clear liquid diet .  I've lost 11 pounds since the week before surgery.  I've also heard that weight loss is slower after RNY revision; but like anything else, I'm sure each individual will experience different results based on physical activity and individual metabolism.

Good luck!

Insurance and RNY REvision

Can anyone tell me anything about the insurance process for RNY revision to wither a DS or a RNY.  We have Aetna and it appears to be good insurance.  Different insurance than when I had my RNY 10 years ago.  Help, PLEASE!!!
