hi all,
I have just been approve fo my revision. I had rny open, in 2003. I lost weight beautifully. I lost 120 lbs. in 2005 I was diagnosed with chiari malformation and underwent two brain surgeries. I was on bed rest for nine months, which caused me to gain 35 lbs. I was never able to lose it back. 7 yrs later im 273 lbs. I went through all my preapproval tests.my dr is just doing the intestinal shortening, because I didnt stretch my pouch out. I only hold 4-6 ozs. I will be on a medication called creatin, to assist my pancreas for a while. has anyone else traveled this path with revision or know anyone. please share with me, what I might expect. Thanx and happy holidays

Have you researched the DS?  It is BETTER for keeping off weight LONG TERM!!!  The ERNY/Distal is considered the "worst" of both worlds, jus read back posts.  Some do not ever get all of their weight off some need reversals due to severe malnutrition, and literally starving to death.  Plus you still have dumping, can get reactive hypoglycemia.

Please do your due dillegence and RESEARCH!!!!!

Here is a "diagram" of the 2 surgeries.... DS and ERNY:
