Well July 19th is the date I got to the clinic for my first meeting.  I will not be seeing the surgeon, but his medical doctor 1st, so i dont even know what to expect when I go.  i have decieded that if i get a revision from my Vertical Banding I want the DS.  When I had my 1st surgery i wanted the RNY and i didnt get it I was 21 young and not prepared to fight for what i wanted so i went with the doctors suggestion and feel I lost alot of time.  So this time around i plan to fight for the chioce I have decieded for myself.  Any one got any Ideas, suggestions or other wise for me in preparing for my appointment?

You're going to need a revision specialist. I recommend Dr. Keshishian in CA.

Make sure the surgeon you pick actually does the DS.  Ask how many they have done and how many band to DS revisions they have done.  Make sure they are vetted on dsfacts.com.  Although the band to DS revision isn't the most complicated revision there is, it is still a revision and there could still be complications and surprises and you want an experienced surgeon to perform the surgery.
Get the number of surgeries, revisions, complications and deaths.  If you aren't comfortable asking these questions then you aren't ready for a DS because believe me, the questions get a lot harder from here on out.
