OMG! What is a G-Tube?!
I came back to research it, and I see it is a FEEDING TUBE!! WHAT?? So I called up to the surgeons office and they said I will have to have it in place for 6 weeks.
Has anyone had this? How bad is it? Is it hard to use? I am in a panic now.
Please tell me what you know!!
Relax!!!!! The G-tube is going to be YOUR FRIEND!!!!! Your tummy will probably be swollen, and it will be difficult to stay hydrated. That G-Tube will enable you to keep up your hydration (and protein shakes) during the crucial post-op period.
If I ever get approved for my revision, I am taking the G-Tube as a BLESSING, so I will be able to get in all of my fluids & push the protein.

Also, the G-tube *should* keep you feeling better, because you should NOT get dehydrated & end up in the ER for fluids.
I have my hearing coming up Wednesday morning. Here is to hoping for the overturning the denial!!!!
