Are any of you revision seekers doing any research at all?
I would serious do more research before revising to RNY again. Go over to the DS forum and post your questions and concerns. I had my surgery Sept 19, 2011 and so far I have lost 50pds. You can go to DSfacts.com and read up on the DS. I can not tell you what kind of surgery to get but I can tell you is research, research, and research. You want to get the best surgery that will keep your weight off and not come back so easy. How much do you weigh now? You have to contact your insurance and see if they cover the DS and what the requirements are. Then you have to find a surgeon on DSFACTS.com that can do it for your in your area. If you want you can PM me and we can talk further.
Just my 2 cents here,
I had rny in o4, never reached a normal bmi, despite never touching a drop of sugar for 18 months. I started re-gain at about 17 months out, stayed at about 50% ewl. '09' revised to distal (120 common channel). I did loose most of the regain, I sit at I think around 75% ewl now. I can eat what ever I want, and I dont gain, but I also can't loose any more. I have the same issues with a burning sensation in my stomach, chichen and steak make me sick most of the time.
I encourge every one to PERSONALLY reseaarch every option, then find a DR that has LOTS of experience in the surgery you want. If you go any other route, they will sell you the sugery they perform.

Sure we all did our research. We all had to make individual decisions what is best for each of us. I'm glad you love your DS. There are people that HATE theirs. There are revisions from DS too.
Good luck. I won't support your choice to surgery slam!

Go on, I challenge you.
In fact, the ONLY person I know who's had a revision from a DS---LadyTazz---will tell you it's the most effective form of WLS, and that her problem was primarily due to her surgeon not giving her proper post- advice and care.
You're hard-headed and close-minded.
