Pre-op diet for band to rny revision?

I just got approval from insurance co for my band to RNY revision (yippie!!  ).  I don't have a surgery date yet or many details.  However, wondering if the doc will require a pre-surgery diet.  I'm just 185 lbs and having a revision done only because my band slipped.  The insurance co says they have no requirements.  Except for the day-before purge, did anyone going into a revision like mine have to do a lengthly preop diet?

I would imagine they would not make you do it unless your BMI was over 40. I was also a band to RNY last week. I didn't have to do any of the preop diet stuff either because my BMI was lower than the standard insurance requirement of 40.
