question about revision Band to DS

Do any of you know if the revision/DS surgery can be done at the same time? Is it typically two different surgeries? What about Band to RNY? Just trying to plan for what's coming!

short answer yes, but depends on surgeon, your health status, potential band complications (if the band has eroded, then no to any revision surgery at the same time as explant)

Unfortunately, I had to delete this post due to privacy concerns.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!

I am having some tests to see the state of my band, but if it looks OK then the surgeries will both be done at once.
