Just got my certified/return receipt card in the mail last night, dated June 6th, that my appeal paperwork was received.

Good luck! I wanted to ask you when you started gaining. My surgery was less than 4 years ago and i went from 302 to 137 and maintained it for about 1 1/2 yr only. In the last 6 months I am steadily gaining i have put on almost 50 lbs. I still get full relatively easy but can def eat more than 3 oz. Im scared and am already considering revision but it is probably too soon?? Also my surgeon is back in NY, I relocated to PR last year so need to find a new surgeon! Ugh.. Any advice?

My best advice is to be true to yourself.

You should read in my profile, on the bottom is "My Story" That gives you my weight chart. But I say about after a year and a half after my RNY I had started to re-gain. If you are looking/researching into the DS, in my April 2011 blog is a list of surgeons who do the RNY to DS. When doing your research, you will see that the RNY is restrictive, and in the begiining it is also mal-absorptive, but, after time, the mal-absorption portion of the RNY goes away, because of how the intestional portion is done.
Research will show you this.

Unfortunately, I had to delete this post due to privacy concerns.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!

Thank You for the positivity!!!!! Trust me, there have been a few times where there has been GREAT doubt along the way, and I have had strong, encourgaging people pick me up, and dust me off with wonderful encouraging words!!!!!

I do not know how long appeals take. I know that they are different, but I am not too sure, on once the paperwork is received, if it is 30 days? Or? Good question. Just back at the waiting game again.....
