insurance problems for revision

I have med-i-cal and medi-care. I cant seem to get anywhere on the revision surgery i need. Not sure where the hold up is. My surgeon wont submit a letter. Please help

Well, then you need to change surgeons.

What sort of revision do you want? MediCARE does NOT pre-approve ANYTHING, so you if they are your primary insurer, you need to see if you meet their criteria. If so, have surgery, submit for payment.

My surgeon didnt want to do a revision on me either. I am changing surgeons because I know I need a revision.

The surgeons office finally returned my call, I swear it had been months of silence. Now it can go very quickly according to her. I just need to get a surgery release form my PCP. I go monday. The surgeons coordinator will mail me a packet for the psych eval. Then I will meet with their nutritionist and meet the surgeon on the 20th of this month then if all is well I get get scheduled as early as the 26th. Wow. Im elated.
