Problem finding a surgeon

Does anyone have an knowledge of surgeons in Huntsville, AL or close surrounding areas that are willing to do revisions?  I had vertical banded gastroplasty in 1996.  I have not lost all the weight I need to and I have a lot of problems with reflux.  A doctor recommended that I have a revision surgery to help with the reflux and lose additional weight.  I found 3 doctors in the area that advertise that they do revisions, but would not see me as a patient.  They stated they didn't like to work on something that someone else had done.  Why advertise revisions as a type of surgery you perform if you don't want to do them????  I am not having any problems from my previous surgery it is just the problem with reflux.  I was told that I can't have surgery for the reflux due to slow emptying of the stomach and once you have reflux surgery, the food can't come back up.  He stated that I would be bloated and uncomfortable all the time.  So, does anyone have any information of surgeons in my area?

Whatever the doctor thinks would be best for me. I am open for suggestions.

I had an old VBG in the 1990's. I recently had a revsion with Dr. Champion in Atlanta. He did a wonderful job. I will be 2 weeks post op on Tuesday. He is very knowlegable about old bariatric surgeries. Good luck

My surgeon is David Caroll in Jackson, MS; he did my revision from VBG to RNY in October.
