6 month weight loss required?

Lap Band on 09/29/04
 Good evening!  I have a Lap Band since 9/2004.  Currently have acid reflux and a dilated esophagus. That sounds medically necessary to me to have RNY without a 6 month Dr. supervised weight loss plan.  What do you think?

The only true way to find out is to have it put through your insurance and see what they say.
