Update with questions on body odor
Ok, I think most all of you are familiar with my body odor problems. Well, doctor had me on Flagyl for 3 weeks and the smell was pretty much gone. I am now off of it and the smell has returned. I called my surgeon today and his reply was that there was no "next step" and that this should all go away when the wt loss stops. I am so angry that he just wants to leave it at that. The last time I was there to see him he mentioned an infection control doctor but I am at a loss here. Of course, I called his office and told them that I am not satisfied with that response and I am not just going to forget about it. Does anybody have any suggestions for a specialist to go see. I think I could get my PCP to send me to a specialist but I am not sure what kind I should start with, any thoughts?
Thanks for your help,
Lori

1. Go gluten free
2. Lactose free
3. Sugar Free
4. Take big doses of pro-biotics (the heavy duty zillion count types)
5. Black Charco Caps (at drugstores otc)
6. Ginger Root plus peppermint & mastic gum (health food store)
7. Mega Chlorophyll caps
8. hydrate with water more than the average recommended intake
9. stay away from foods that you know trigger gas for "you" specifically.. i.e. some can't tolerate certain beans or any beans, some can't tolerate cabbage or broccoli or cauliflower, some can't tolerate certain fruits. Do a food journal and note body responses. IF it causes gas then chances are it may contribute to the overall body odor issue as well.
10. Find a trusted friend/relative who will be honest with you and be your "smell o-meter" so you know if things are truly working.
Other obvious things to camouflage.....citrus body sprays rather than florals, soaps with odor eater additives, lemon wipes to carry with and freshen up often, use the restroom far away from your associates and then walk outside to ditch the linger longer oily odor.
Good luck!!!! Been there done that and finally revised to a DS with my common channel lengthened!!
