Released from the hosp to hotel...
Dr. K let me out of the hospital in spite of not "passing" the last body functions test. He needed to chase me out before I ran off all of his nursing staff! ........Isn't it just Heavenly when they finally pull the I.V. out just before wheeling you out to your car?!
Anyway...hubby is on nurse's duty every 4 hrs puting food through the feeding tube & emptying the drains. I'm on the Bariatric 2 eating phase (clears plus a few regular liquids) and already realized that I am NOT going to dump like I did just last week with my ERny!!!! Wooooo Hooooo!!!
Healing with my new DS and testing my hubby's patience in CA,
Joyce
PS Thanks to all for swinging critters, sending prayers, sending notes and calling!

OMG, I am so excited for you. I didn't know that we would have to have a feeding tube. Is this normal? So when did you realize there would be no dumping, was there a particular experience? Isn't it funny that we thought that the dumping with the RNY would help us stay away from bad foods. Now it drives us crazy. I did my consult and dietician consult with Dr. Keshishian and staff. Then last week, I discovered a surgeon in San Francisco who takes my insurance. I'm seeing him next Thursday at an office in Stockton. Can't wait to hear more of your details.
