Marginal Ulcer and revision

Hello, I had a EGD this morning. It want bad at all. The Dr Dis find a marginal ulcer, this is my second one the first perforated . I was taken into emergency surgery and it was fixed. I have been thinking about revision for  the weight  I have gained back  but also now because I get ulcers at my stoma.

Can the Ulcer cause some weght gain?


Has anyone ever had revision for this reason? If so did insurance approve it easier? I want to hear your story Please. Thanks

I have a similar thing happening. I'm on my 2nd ulcer at my anastimosis. My new WLS says that my ulcer refuses to heal because the sutures keep irritating it. I'm waiting for my WLS to send the letter to insurance. Hopefully they'll approve the new surgery!

oh my gosh, thats crazy. Keep me informed . I am trying to stay positive and hope my insurance will cover a revision . I am trying to educate myself for all of the different options I haver. Good luck

I have been told that an ulcer is a reason in and of itself to get a revision.
