I too had to consider my kids (5) of them buggers LOL!
and the youngest is 3. This was an open procedure, and its been hard on her for sure, but she has learned to climb up in my lap when she wants to sit with me. When I go to get up she takes my hand and thinks she is pulling me up!
It will all work out!
